A. No person shall top a tree located on City property.

B. No person shall attach or keep attached to any tree located on City property any ropes, wires, chains or other device. Seasonal holiday lights are permissible for up to 90 days.

C. No person shall damage any tree located on City property, allow any harmful substance to come into contact with a tree on City property, or permit any fire to burn in a way that will damage a tree on City property.

D. Actions otherwise prohibited by subsection (A) or (B) of this section may be permitted under a tree permit if the City determines the action is needed to prevent interference with utility service, or that the action is in the public interest and is not inconsistent with the purposes of this chapter.
