Any decision or action of the City Manager or designee in this chapter is subject to appeal to or review by the City Council.

A. Any person affected by a decision or action of the City Manager or designee under this chapter may appeal the decision or action to the City Council by filing a written appeal with the City Recorder within 10 calendar days of the decision or action. In the event that the appellant had no reasonable basis for knowing of the decision or action, the appeal must be filed within 10 calendar days of the date the person knew or should have known of the decision or action.

B. The City Manager or any Council member may initiate a review of any decision or action by the City Manager under BC 6.10.000 by placing the matter on the Council agenda.

C. The Council may but is not required to give deference to the City Manager’s decision in making its decision. [Ord. NS-2140, 2010]
