The definitions in this section apply in this title. In addition, definitions contained in the Oregon Vehicle Code apply.

A. Bus stop means a space on the edge of a roadway designated by sign or curb marking for use by Bend Area Transit buses.

B. Holiday means New Year’s Day, Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day.

C. Loading zone means a space on the edge of a roadway designated by sign or green curb marking for loading or unloading passengers or materials.

D. Motor vehicle means every vehicle that is self-propelled, including tractors, forklift trucks, motorcycles, road-building equipment, street-cleaning equipment, and any other vehicle capable of moving under its own power, even if the vehicle is exempt from licensing under the motor vehicle laws of Oregon.

E. Parking facility means any property used for motor vehicle parking.

F. Pedestrian means a person on foot or using an assisted mobility device for use by persons with disabilities.

G. Street means any City-administered right-of-way developed for vehicular travel.

H. Traffic lane means the area of a street used for movement of a single lane of traffic. [Ord. NS-2140, 2010]
