Transportation Demand Management is a critical tool for maximizing the efficiency and effectiveness of the transportation system and the regional and local environmental, economic, and social benefits of the Bend transportation system.

7-32    The City will continue to develop, document and promote its own internal TDM plan to serve as a role model for others.

7-33    The City will develop a program to require institutions and larger businesses to implement and track a transportation demand management (TDM) plan that outlines targets, strategies, and evaluation measures to reduce vehicle miles traveled and single-occupancy vehicle trips, particularly at peak hours.
