Section 19. Mayor’s Functions at Council Meetings.

(1) When present at council meetings the mayor shall:
(a) Preside over and facilitate council meetings,
(b) Preserve order,
(c) Enforce council rules, and
(d) Determine the order of business under the rules.
(2) The mayor is a voting member of the council.
(3) The mayor pro-tem shall perform the mayor’s functions at council meetings when the mayor is absent, or otherwise unable to perform the functions of mayor at council meetings. (Amended by voters on May 15, 2018)
